The FULL TRE® Certification Process consists of:

  • Three X two-day modules [6 days]
  • A Supervision Process
  • A committed embodied personal practice that is journaled throughout the training period
  • Reading, listening to and watching materials linked to your training
  • Reports
  • Case Studies

 

The certification time can be completed from 12 months after your Module 1 to 24 months for those with jobs/other commitments.

 


Module 1 - Personal Process

Online – 30th September + 1st October - English 10am – 6pm CET

Module 1 is open to all with or without a therapeutic background. You may join to find out more about TRE® for yourself and your own personal growth or as the first step in becoming a TRE® Provider. During Module 1 the invitation is to be moved towards yourself and understand more your body’s frequency. In accessing your tremor mechanism, you can find

  • a safer sense of containment and embodiment
  • more groundedness in Life
  • better co-regulated relationships with others
  • healthy self-regulation 
  • a more nourished nervous system
  • an openness, pleasure, and healthy excitement/fun
  • a larger window of tolerance
  • more embodiment

 

During Module 1 you will 

  • gain an understanding of the TRE® stretches as designed by Dr David Berceli
  • experience ‘The Tremor Mechanism’ in your own body.
  • learn more about titration and slowing down
  • understand further the Mammalian Parasympathetic/Sympathetic Nervous Systems
  • be introduced to “The Polyvagal Theory” (Stephen Porges)
  • gain insight into the Psoas and Fight/Flight/Freeze muscles
  • get more curious with your body 

 


 

Module 2 - Teaching Individuals Online 2/3 December 2023 10am – 6pm CET

At Module 2 you will 

  • lead and show individuals through the TRE® Stretches as designed by Dr David Berceli
  • practice co-creating a safe container to hold space for the individual whilst they access their tremor mechanism
  • direct the individual towards safe containment and presence during the tremor session
  • guide the individual to collaborate in the use of self-regulation tools eg self-interventions


During Module 2 you will learn

  • how to safely teach the TRE® Stretches as designed by Dr David Berceli
  • the safety skills required to successfully lead and hold space for an individual through a session
  • further exploration of Ventral Vagal vs Dorsal Vagal states
  • about fascia and its relationship to the tremor mechanism
  • how to follow the body over a period of weeks/months
  • how to manage Fight/Flight/Freeze/Dissociation/Appeasement during a session 
  • to explore your presence and role being a TRE® Provider/Trainee
  • basic touch interventions to support self-regulation of the tremor mechanism
  • about your visceral voice and tapping into your intuition

 



Module 3 - Teaching Small Groups

At Module 3 you will learn to:

  • Lead a small group
  • Bring TRE® to communities and specialised groups
  • Self/ Touch Interventions
  • Manage Transference/Countertransference


During Module 3 you will learn

  • how to manage groups
  • how to teach TRE® to niche groups
  • how to lead the unique individual whilst maintaining the bonding or glue of the collective group experience
  • ethical aspects in Teaching TRE® to Individuals and small groups - transference/countertransference and attachment
  • how to teach adjustments and adaptations of the TRE® stretchesfor disabled/elderly or physically challenged
  • about your scope of practice and your role as a TRE® Provider

 


 

This programme is supported by an experienced team of trainers and mentors in addition to mutual and ongoing buddy-up’ing with colleagues on the course.

This workshop requires a minimum of 6 attendees to go ahead.

 


In addition to the above Learning Modules:


SUPERVISION

A learning plan will be created by yourself and your Mentor which will include a minimum of 25 hours of personal and group supervision. There will also be buddy up sessions with your colleagues on the programme.

 


READING & WRITTEN WORK

Personal Journaling: [ this can also be done on voice notes or video]

1.Reflecting and writing up 10 sessions of personal shaking from Module 1 to certification - these are short reports of your own tremor sessions or those you have been led through by your buddy/mentor or trainer - 200-500 words

 

2.Consider 2-3 shifts that happened between Module 1 – Module 2 and again between Module 2 – Module 3 and up until certification. Shifts are moments/times when something different happens in your body, your mindset or your life that is significant and perhaps meaningful. Please write about these shifts [ 10+] short reports – 500 words +

 

Written Reports: [ this can also be done on voice notes or video]

☆ 2 x Book or Video Reviews – 500 words +

☆ 2 x Buddy up Reviews [get together with 2-3 of your colleagues, be lead and lead each other and write a report on the experience of being led and leading] – minimum 2 reports – 500 words +

☆ “What is TRE® and how to introduce it to a new client/small group” 500 words +

☆ “How does TRE® help me with my own personal stress and what self-interventions do I use to assist in moving my organism towards health” - 500 words +

☆ “What does ‘Self-Regulation’ mean in the context of my own tremor mechanism and my own life”. 500 words +

 


  

CASE STUDIES

• 3 x Case Studies where you follow the body/bodies for 6 sessions and write a detailed report, with accompanying videos, to be handed in for final certification. Private Supervision is essential at this stage of your studies. This will be detailed in Module 2 and a full supervision to explain this process.

 


 

INVESTMENT

  • €300.00 per module [3 x 2-day modules] - €900.00 for all 6 teaching days
  • €1000.00 for 10 private Supervisions [10 x 50-minute sessions @ €70 per session] plus 6 x 2.5 - hour Group Sessions [6 x 2.5-hour group sessions @ €50.00 per session] over the time of your training. Please note this is the minimum supervision hours – **You may be required to do more personal supervision over the period of the training.

Total €1900.00 per person for the training. Please note this does not include registration fee with TRE® for All [€15 - 35 sliding scale]

 


 

Outlined below are the minimum core certification requirements to become a Certified TRE® Provider. These requirements were developed by TRE® FOR ALL, INC.

TRE® FOR ALL, INC. MINIMUM CORE REQUIREMENTS GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • TRE® provider trainees are expected to complete all aspects of the TRE® GCTP under the responsibility of the same Primary Certification Trainer. Secondary Trainers are used to ensure consistency within the GCTP.
  • If an individual need for transfer develops, follow the current TFA transfer policy.
  • The Primary Certification Trainer will arrange for the TRE® Trainee to do a minimum of two (2) supervised teaching sessions with a Secondary Certification Trainer.
  • If the Trainee has initiated a training in a different country other than where they are going to teach TRE®: the Secondary Trainer should be from the country that the Trainee is/will be based with the efforts to bridge cultural collaboration.
  • Time Frame Certification Process - The certification process is recommended between 12-15 months from the start of Module 1.
  • All program requirements must be started post attendance of the Module 1 Workshop. Any program requirements completed prior to the start of the Module 1 Workshop, will not be valid or accepted as part of the training program.
  • Should a TRE® Trainee not have completed the entire certification program within 18 months, they will need to complete additional requirements up to or including retaking Module workshops.
  • If a trainee has not completed the certification program within 24 months after starting the TRE® Provider Training , they will need to retake the entire program.



 


 

TRE® for Life - Competency requirements for becoming a TRE® Provider.

o Please note, this a higher education programme, based on competency in a number of areas, which are mandatory.
o During supervision you and your Certification Trainer or Mentor will identify learning gaps, which may require extra supervision, in order to certify.

o There are no guarantees for certification, expressed, or implied, and we reserve the right to request additional input for final certification.
o It is recommended if required, to take responsibility to seek personal therapy for healing of unresolved emotional issues whilst embarking on this programme.

o It is your responsibility for completing all the requirements for certification and once certified, to continue in ongoing educational experiences to further develop your TRE® skills, as well as seek opportunities for expanded self-awareness.

o You will be required to continue supervision and/ or peer support when working with clients once certified.
